JIM'S SUN-SHADE

Sunlover is our most popular instant lawn and was developed for those who like to enjoy their lawn without having to spend hours looking after it. Sunlover is a hard-wearing, low maintenance lawn making it ideal for home lawns and landscaping projects. Sunlover is a blend of two Turf Type Tall Fescues. Tall Fescue is a hardy variety of turf with a deep root system and a broad leaf blade. This variety is wear tolerant and performs best at a mowing height of 30-40mm.

JIM'S TRUE BLUE

Showpiece is our premium instant lawn, blended for those who wish to maintain a deep green, rolling lawn. Showpiece thrives all year round and is quick to recover from damage, making it the ideal turf for prestigious home lawns and sports fields. Showpiece is a blend of two Fine Leaf Ryegrass and Kentucky Bluegrass, providing you with a dense, fine leaf lawn. The Ryegrass is quick to establish and recover while the Bluegrass has the ability to repair itself from minor damage. This variety may be maintained at a mowing height of 20-40mm.

JIM'S SHADEMASTER

Shademaster is the answer when trying to grow a lawn in shaded areas. Shademaster is the most shade tolerant lawn of all our varieties but does need some sun. Shademaster will persist in less than ideal growing conditions and will compete with surrounding vegetation for available nutrients and moisture. Shademaster is a blend of two Turf Type Tall Fescues and Fine Leaf Ryegrass. The Tall Fescues provide a durable, lasting lawn while the Ryegrass provides an active lawn all year round. HG Shademaster will not grow well in very heavy shade. This variety may be maintained at a mowing height of 30-40mm.

JIM'S KIKUYU

Kikuyu is a self sufficient, drought tolerant lawn that will thrive in a range of soil types. In summer months Kikuyu is known for its aggressive growth, covering quickly with runners. This aggressive growth enables Kikuyu to withstand repeated use and enables it to repair itself from damage. It is commonly found in parks, schools and home lawns and is the ideal choice for dogs. Kikuyu is a proven all-round performer in the Victorian market and may be maintained at a mowing height of 15-25mm.

JIM'S COUCH

Santa Ana is regarded as the best all-round lawn in the Melbourne market, providing children and families with a fine soft rolling lawn ideal for games and entertaining. Santa Ana thrives in full sun and has the best drought tolerance of all our lawn varieties. Santa Ana is well suited to Melbourne’s climate and is widely used in home lawns, commercial landscapes and golf courses. With its fine texture and lateral growth Santa Ana is best maintained at a low mowing height. The runners withstand repeated use and enable the lawn to repair itself from damage. Unlike other couches, Santa Ana will tolerate some shade and will retain some activity and colour during the winter months. This variety may be maintained at a mowing height of 10mm-20mm.

JIM'S PALMETTO® - SOFT LEAF BUFFALO

Palmetto is one of our most popular turf varieties, developed for those who like to enjoy their lawn without having to spend hours looking after it. Palmetto thrives in most populated areas across Australia, under a wide range of climatic conditions making it the ideal choice for home lawns and landscapes. Palmetto is the low maintenance Soft Leaf Buffalo, requiring less water, mowing and fertilizer than other Soft Leaf Buffalo varieties. It has excellent drought tolerance, supported by a broad leaf and deep root system, and it thrives in full sun and tolerates semi shade. Palmetto’s lateral growth ensures it is hard wearing and self repairing. Palmetto is the Soft Leaf Buffalo all-rounder, proving to be the ideal low maintenance, multi use family lawn. This variety may be maintained at a mowing height of 20mm-40mm.

JIM'S SAPPHIRE™ - SOFT LEAF BUFFALO

Sapphire is fast becoming one of our most popular turf varieties. Newly released Sapphire is the third generation of Soft Leaf Buffalo varieties to reach the market. Unlike all Soft Leaf Buffalos before it, Sapphire is the only Soft Leaf Buffalo on the market with a fine leaf. The fine leaf is in keeping with the traditional home lawn texture we have come to appreciate and expect. Sapphire is an Australian bred turf variety, bred to suit our local conditions. Sapphire offers the home owner a low maintenance lawn, which is drought tolerant and self repairing lawn, with a unique leaf that is soft and fine and exhibits better colour retention year-round than most other Soft Leaf Buffalos. This variety may be maintained at a mowing height of 20mm-40mm.
